itunes not recognizing ipod

My desktop (windows 10) will not work with my ipod. When I plug it in, itunes pops up a message saying it can't recognize it (or something like that). Windows recognizes it and it shows in the file explorer.

I connected it to my laptop and itunes sees it fine there (also windows 10).

Tried different cable, reinstalling itunes, resetting ipod to no avail.

Any suggestions?
